Outsource Developer (Sample Merchandiser)

Main Role:
Outsource Developer is responsible for all external development raised from Client team/ Merchandising team as well as to search for all fashion trends to submit samples to Client team every month.
Developing and implementing development for the external embellishment treatments such as: printing/ embroidery/ heat transfer/ beading/ heat seam/ all novelty, ect... as well as accessories like Hat/ Cap/ Towel/ Bag/slipper/ raincoat/ full fashion knit... to help the Company win more orders from Customers and keep Customers interested with the Company.
Managing Supplier
Collect all information about suppliers relating to all kinds of Embellishment (Printing/Embroidery/Heat transfer/ Noverty, ect... as well as Accessories like Hat/ Cap/ Towel/ Bag/slipper/ raincoat/ full fashion knit/ ect..., including the costing.
Develop at least with 3 suppliers all the new artwork and negotiate the best price, lead time and quality with them.
Constantly source new supplier to be sure we work with the best one.
Always search for new fashion trends and develop with local suppliers.
Create and update supplier's database properly.
Try to create a matrix price for the external orders and build up costing database.
Implement Supplier assessment twice per year.
Developing Sample
Collaborate with Merchandising/ Client team to develop samples and execute all external development orders.
Come back to Merchandising and Client team within 48 hours you receive the artwork to know if suppliers are capable of doing it and lead time to make it.
Work with the designer to make artworks or patterns when developing new sample for customer.
Get estimated pricing from Suppliers within maximum +10% tolerance allowed and provide to Merch team in time.
Wash test all the samples receiving from suppliers to be sure the durability of the print and embroidery, heat transfer....
Ensure supplier can reproduce the sample for bulk same quality as previously approved S/Os and if any risk needs to share with merchandisers and sales team from the beginning.
Negotiate the best on prices and leadtime.
Ensure to liaise with production team closely and hand-over all information carefully
Ensure the development is proceeded with correct supplier with good quality and supplier can reproduce the same for bulk. quality assurance in bulk, good prices and good leadtime.
Work with supplier to develop embroidery/print/heat transfer, ect... any new techniques/ new trends to show to our customers. Get physical samples or swatch books from Suppliers to build up the Company's showroom, both physical S/O and digitalized.
Others:
Make weekly report for the follow-up.
Make monthly report for all expense used for development.
All tasks assigned by superiors.
