Supplier & Production Management
• Manage day-to-day operations with outsourced factories to ensure production schedules, capacities, and lead times are met.
• Evaluate, select, and develop outsourcing vendors for furniture production.
• Monitor vendor performance (quality, delivery, capacity, compliance) and implement improvement plans when needed.
• Follow up on production progress to ensure timely completion of orders and samples.
• Coordinate sample development and ensure technical requirements are fully understood by suppliers.
Quality & Compliance
• Work closely with QC teams to ensure outsourced products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Support factories in solving quality issues and corrective actions.
• Ensure all outsourced suppliers follow company policies, compliance standards, safety requirements, and furniture-related certifications if applicable.
• Cost & Contract Management
• Coordinate cost quotations, negotiate outsourcing prices, and optimize production cost without compromising quality.
• Review and monitor subcontracting expenses, material usage, and cost efficiency.
Planning & Coordination
• Work with Planning, R&D, Sales, and
Purchasing to ensure production plans align with supplier capacity.
• Communicate changes in specifications, timelines, or customer requirements to suppliers promptly.
• Ensure accurate documentation such as BOMs, technical drawings, production instructions, and work orders are understood and followed by suppliers.
Problem-Solving & Reporting
• Address production delays, material shortages, capacity issues, or supplier non-compliance.
• Prepare reports on vendor performance, production status, delivery schedules, and risk assessment.
• Support annual vendor evaluation and improvement roadmap.
