Description
Responsible for the movement of packages and on-road support such as shuttling, bulk Pickup & Delivery (P&D), and priority service P&D recovery.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and placing, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operator of company vehicles under 10,001lbs, performing shuttle functions and bulk P&D pick-ups.
- Delivering priority service recovery packages to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma/GED required
Minimum Experience:
- Have at least one (1) year with an active driver's license and driving experience
Other Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Strong driving record and will require a motor vehicle background review
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, or over 50lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with others, follow work instructions, and recognize street numbers, addresses, highway signs and traffic control signals and devices
- Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations. Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to both customers and FedEx team members
- Must maintain neat appearance to represent the company
- Ability to satisfactorily complete required training framework and any other eligibility requirements
Working Conditions:
- May drive in various weather conditions to various customer sites for package delivery
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- May work in an environment with loud noise and fumes
- May work in hot or cold temperatures
Preferred Qualifications:

In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
