Planning Manager (Production & Material)

This position is expected to lead and integrate the production and material planning functions to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective execution of make-to-order manufacturing. This role translates sale orders into actionable production schedules, aligns them with material availability, capacity, labor, and warehouse constraints, and drives proactive inventory management to meet customer delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning
• Lead the planning function for make-to-order production, translating confirmed orders and forecasts into executable production schedules.
• Align production plans with available capacity, labor resources, material supply, and warehouse space.
• Monitor daily production progress and adjust schedules to respond to operational changes or constraints.
• Anticipate potential bottlenecks, supply risks, or operational conflicts and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with Production and related teams to ensure schedule adherence and smooth workflow.
2. Material Planning
• Lead end-to-end material planning and inventory control to support production and shipment schedules.
• Analyze inventory data to anticipate shortages, identify trends, and support proactive decision-making.
• Develop and maintain planning models, forecasting tools, and material requirement plans (MRP).
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production to ensure material plans align with business targets.
• Drive operational discipline, data accuracy, and measurable performance in planning and inventory systems.
3. Continuous improvement
• Take initiatives to streamline process and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations.
• Lead and level up department structure to achieve business goals.
• Develop reports and make presentation to BODs.
