Product Development Scientist (Temporary 12 Months)

Conducts laboratory trials for improving cost/process of existing products.
Coordinates with Purchasing and suppliers on new ingredients or flavors or existing ingredients for
cost/process improvement
Coordinates with Production, Engineering, QA and other departments on production trials of LCA products
as well as supervises the trials.
Prepares raw materials costing/Prepares Raw Material Requirement (RMR) of LCA products and submits to R&D Product Development Lead for review.
Prepares product samples for consumer research to be conducted by Marketing
Reviews and supervises the update of RMR in the SAP as necessary.
Prepares RMIF of new materials and product spec, reviews and updates regularly as necessary.
Prepares Standard Manufacturing Procedures of LCA products, reviews and updates regularly as necessary.
Reports to R&D Product Development Lead for all information regarding product cost improvement.
Responds to all Quality & Food Safety Management and Management system such as GMP, HACCP, ISO
9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, OHAS 18001, ISO 45001, Halal etc.
Implements cost saving initiative, harmonized materials projects and others approached by regional team
within timeline.
Provide timely communication and contingency plans and be able to handle multiple projects.
Understand the financial impact of RMs technologies/innovations and the linkage of RMs to business
strategies.
Experience with Bev & Food Ingredient functions and Formulation development within the consumer products
or food industry.
Experience in technology scouting, conducting research and designing experiments to develop innovative
Food Ingredient solutions.
Knowledge and experience working with different Open Innovation partners to develop enabling
technologies.
Proven ability to interact with cross functional business partners to establish targets, plans and maintain
timelines to ensure timely and quality execution.
Demonstrated ability to accomplish objectives on assignments which have ambiguity associated with their
procedures, solutions, approach, etc.
