Job Responsibilities
• The Product Development Supervisor will lead the formulation, development, and industrialization of new Personal Care products (e.g., shampoo, conditioner, body wash). This role bridges R&D, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure successful product launches that meet consumer needs, brand positioning, and operational feasibility.
• Develop new brands and product lines in the personal care category.
• Formulate products to meet the mandatory requirements (e.g., shampoo, conditioner).
• Search and evaluate new emotive ingredients with substantiated claims for branding and product differentiation.
• Work with Consumer Technical Insight (CTI) & Consumer Market Knowledge (CMK) teams to optimize products based on user insights and testing (HPT).
• Partner with Marketing to translate consumer needs into product concepts and claims.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement (MA, MPO), Analytical Lab, Specification & Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure compliance and readiness.
• Handle technology transfer from lab/pilot scale to production, including BOM, specifications, testing methods, and production documents.
• Optimize industrial-scale manufacturing processes to minimize time, cost, and risk while ensuring product quality.
• Develop premixes to safeguard confidentiality formula with contract manufacturers.
• Conduct pilot and commissioning batches, ensuring successful scale-up.
• Analyze processes from lab to industrial scale, ensuring feasibility and cost efficiency.
• Propose solutions for raw material challenges and ensure continuous improvement.
