Mô tả công việc
** Essential Functions of this Role:
• Work closely with the Buyer's technical construction team and design team to develop seasonal collections from design concept to prototype.
• Collaborate with internal and external designers and provide them with suggestions for design modifications, manufacturing techniques, structures and materials to reduce costs and/or improve manufacturability within while maintaining design and quality.
• Create tech packs to develop new samples.
• Attend presentations and meetings as you work closely alongside the design team to provide feedback and insightful ideas or solutions to ensure the development process runs smoothly with a clear vision.
• Participate in material development (fabrics) and sourcing (trims),
• Liaise with local/global suppliers to source the best raw materials required for your products.
• Ensure dates and route plans are adhered to
• Participate in sourcing decisions based on volume, engineering, manufacturing and cost
• Set estimated sample delivery times, update all customers with development summaries, and create weekly plans for the sample room. Responsible for DEV/PROTO and SMS samples.
• Negotiate prices and analyze product costs,
• Conduct seasonal research to keep a close eye on fabrics and trends, ensuring you stay an expert in your field.
• Keep a close eye on best-selling products during your research so you can make informed decisions when developing products.
Yêu cầu
** Required Skills:
- TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Garment technology background
• 4 years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of design, costing, fitting, grading, garment construction, and all production coordination is a necessity.
• Need to know different types of fabrics, washing techniques, finishing, printing, embroidery, etc.
• Understand and be able to analyze costs in detail.
• Turn design ideas into tangible fashion products.
- COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
• Good communication, teamwork and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to predict and troubleshoot quality and delivery issues with ease.
• Time management: ensure deadlines are met
• Must be detail oriented and organized with the ability to follow closely.
• Work hard, be well organized and have a high sense of responsibility
• You still need to have good knowledge of the trends, the market and your buyers/consumers
- INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
• Proficient in Office software Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook, ...
• Adobe, especially Illustrator to be able to create and communicate your ideas and developments.
