GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for supporting the Engineering function in SEA and managing the timelines related to the multi-discipline commercialization process of South East Asia product development projects. The specific duties include cost and timeline management, risk assessment & mitigation, project communication, process troubleshooting & creation of SOPs and on-going production support. The role will also provide support as required to the Company Vietnam office including technical interaction with suppliers and Company staff in the USA.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages timelines and the flow of information for the South East Asia commercialization process by working cross-functionally with Company technical teams and directly with suppliers in response to new product launches.
• Facilitates communication between the suppliers and Company project teams, across all functional areas of the Company organization (USA and International), relating to project timing.
• Coordinate with team and supplier to provide product specifications.
• Support cost saving projects with suppliers.
• Provides Project Management support, in coordination with the supplier, through weekly timeline management updates. Works with the supplier to accelerate development of critical items through problem solving. Responsible for coordinating creative solutions to get delayed projects back on track.
• Work with suppliers to meet key milestones including Art Release and Engineering pilot milestones assuring product meets Company specifications. Provide solutions to product design challenges along with detailed responses to Company.
• Acts as the technical liaison in South East Asia between Company's functional areas including Marketing, Engineering, Production, and Purchasing departments, as well as outside vendors to assure proper specifications and timeliness of projects. Provide input to optimize product design and address production issues.
• Facilitate the gathering of information needed to successfully complete projects deliverables including supplier capacity constraints and technical challenges.
• Utilize Company's Project Management System tools to establish project reports for communication and decision making (e.g. status, health, phase, issue and risk logs, assignments and meeting minutes/notes).

• Bachelor's Degree and Fresh graduate or up to 2 year experience of Project Management
• Strong English language skills
• Proficient in Office 365, SharePoint, MS Office including Project, Word, Excel and Power Point
• Organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and business communication skills
• Proactive, self-motivated
• Collaborative and team-based
• Project Management certification (PMP) a plus
• Experience in the Project Management and/or Engineering functions related to CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) new product development and manufacturing.
o Familiarity with the Engineering Product New Product Turnover process.
o Experience in leading efforts and troubleshooting factory issues related to New Product development.
o Project Management Experience - managing and reporting against milestones.
o Experience in Value Engineering and Cost Management
• Knowledge of, or experience with, the following processes will be helpful in understanding the Company business.
o Manufacturing/assembly processes - manual and automated
o Gluing, joining, pencil sharpening
o Printing/print press control
o Blister sealing
o Thermoforming, Injection molding, Injection blow molding
o Sonic Welding
• Experience in a technical field for an International Consumer Products company including knowledge of one or more of these specific product types will be helpful in understanding the Company business.
o Writing Instruments (i.e. markers, pens, pencils)
o Paint/ink production
o Compounds (i.e. Clay, Dough, Putty)
o Printed/bound items (i.e. books, paper)
o Activity sets
o Toy items.
• Experience working as an intermediary or directly with CPG manufacturers/suppliers.
o Ability to negotiate/resolve issues with supplier leadership and technical staff.
o A3/structured problem solving & root cause analysis
o Supplier development - capable of providing guidance and/or recommendations.
o Lean/Six sigma training or certification is a plus
