Function/Department description
The Logistics Department is responsible for managing the flow of materials and finished goods, including planning, transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and import-export operations, to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
The department coordinates closely with procurement, production, and other stakeholders to ensure materials and products are delivered to the right place, at the right time, and in the required quantity.
The department also ensures compliance with transportation, customs, and warehouse regulations while maintaining product safety, quality, and traceability throughout the supply chain.
Purpose of the position
The Production Planning Executive is responsible for supporting production planning and scheduling to ensure smooth operations, on-time delivery, and optimal inventory levels. The role coordinates with cross-functional teams to align production capacity, material availability, and customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Demand and Production Planning
· Review demand forecasts, customer orders, and shipment requirements to understand production priorities.
· Develop and update the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand, inventory levels, production capacity, and shipment plans.
· Prepare weekly, and monthly production plans to ensure alignment between customer demand and factory operations.
2. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
· Analyze production plans and material consumption to determine raw material requirements.
· Monitor material availability, inventory coverage, and incoming supply status to support production execution.
· Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability and minimize shortage or excess inventory risks.
3. Production Scheduling and Capacity Coordination
· Create and maintain detailed production schedules based on approved production plans, machine capacity, manpower, and material readiness.
· Coordinate with Production teams to optimize production sequencing and ensure efficient line utilization.
· Adjust production schedules when there are changes in demand, material availability, or operational constraints.
4. Production Execution Monitoring
· Track actual production performance against production plans and schedules.
· Monitor production progress, delays, downtime, and operational issues that may impact delivery commitments.
· Update production status reports and communicate potential risks or schedule changes to related teams.
5. Cross-functional Coordination
· Coordinate closely with Procurement, Production, QA, Warehouse, Import-Export, and Sales teams to ensure smooth production and shipment execution.
· Support alignment between demand, material supply, production capacity, and delivery schedules.
· Analyze planning and operational data to support production efficiency, inventory optimization, and on-time delivery performance.
6. Reporting, Compliance, and Planning Support
· Prepare and maintain production planning reports, planning data, and system updates to support operational accuracy and efficiency.
· Follow company procedures, planning standards, and compliance requirements in daily planning activities.
· Support continuous improvement and perform other assigned tasks related to production planning and logistics coordination.
