Context:
- Report to Project Engineering Manager
- Lead in-house projects for engineering design, development, and execution phases.
- Lead in technical support to operation set-up and licensing relating to civil construction work.
- Lead in-house projects with full alignment and compliance to Local/Global harmonized civil construction regulations and standards.
- Lead continuous improvement and innovation in project engineering services and management of changes by sharing, applying best practices, and benchmarking within OPCO, Global Project and Engineering
- Lead in Safety and Change Management for the civil work within engineering design and construction focusing on reducing operational risks and optimizing the cost and sustainability.
Job purpose:
- Projects are successfully carried out, taken over, closed, and reviewed to ensure investment effectiveness in terms of cost and quality
- Lead a project towards a solution that minimizes the total cost of ownership of the asset. Include the costs of future maintenance, energy, efficiency, sustainability etc. in project decisions.
- Ensure that project civil construction work innovates and contributes in such a way that asset life is safely extended without jeopardizing safety, performance and quality, and overall project & operation costs are reduced/optimized
Job responsibilities:
- Safety, food Safety and sustainability:
- Manage all activities related to projects, innovations, modifications, asset life extension initiatives in a safe way and compliant with Local & HEINEKEN rules, standards, procedures.
- Connect, benchmark with outside industry and other Breweries of HVN, Global for safety improvement activities for maintenance, construction, and engineering works.
- Ensure that project engineering processes, construction are compliant with Environments & Sustainability rules, standards, procedures of Authorities & HEINEKEN.
- Lead the implementation of safety improvement activities, act immediately when unsafe behaviour occurs, stop unsafe behaviours, and report high-risk activities and give feedback to relevant people.
- Quality:
- Responsible for OTIF project execution with good quality as Heineken standard
- Proactively give solution to improve the performance and hygiene condition of equipment and building which impacts quality.
- Effectively extend, approach condition-based maintenance innovations to all equipment, constructions impacting quality.
- Process:
- Develop best practices within World-class civil construction and hygienic engineering design and share proven best practices within the Heineken network.
- Support world-class civil construction design and equipment standardization in order to innovate and further reduce working capital/costs by benchmarking and centralizing within HEINEKEN and externally.
- Lead implementation and effectiveness of long-term actions via "Feedback to design" process to link with EEM Pillar, redesign-to-cost and performance strategy development.
- Lead in Safety and Management of Change (MOC) within civil construction design focusing on extending asset life and reducing operational risks and optimizing costs and sustainability.
- Manage and conduct the plan and execution of brewery CAPEX's OTIF
- Lead a project towards a solution that minimises the total cost of ownership of the asset. Include the costs of future maintenance, energy, efficiency etc. in project decisions.
- Lead in technical support to operation set-up and licensing relating to civil construction work as legal requirement and compliance.
- Organization, Interfaces & People Management:
- Lead and support project taskforce teams, third parties and report to Project Engineering Manager and respect Project Managers
- Be the Brewery and OpCo Collaborates interface.
- Connect with Stakeholders for project development and execution.
- Coordinate and align between Project, Brewery & Procurement teams to ensure supply of Capex materials and services OTIF.
- TPM & Continuous improvement:
- Initiate and elaborate on modification proposals and check the requirements for modification procedure (e.g. warranty, safety)
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of long-term actions via "Feedback to design" process to link with EEM Pillar, redesign-to-cost and performance strategy development.
- Initiate and promote the use of advanced predictive maintenance tools, advance techniques to support for asset management and value driven maintenance (VDM)
- Support to implement weak component analysis (WCA). Execute improvement activities to improve weak points of equipment, construction.
- Information & Data Management:
- Be the key-user of the Project data management system, Master data registration.
- Lead and identify latest development and appropriate digital tools, automation frameworks to support business objectives in processes and productivity improvement.
Job requirements:
Qualification: Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably MSc degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Architecture and/or similar.
Experiences/skills:
- Minimum 3 years management experience, preferably in a technical/operational surrounding.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience & knowledge of civil, structural, architectural engineering and/or construction, also from a strategic point of view: ability to setup and drive (strategic) improvement initiatives and manage changes from the shop floor within the department.
- Knowledge of local/international standards and regulations on CSA, M&E, PEB, etc.
- Ambassador for enabling a safe and quality-controlled working environment (lead by example).
- Able to effectively work together between different directly related departments (i.e. procurement, operations, finance).
- Mastered all required skill, knowledge, and experience as Engineering Specialist on advanced level.
- Ability to effectively plan and set clear and consistent priorities in own workload and that of the team.
- Knowledge and experience in asset life cycle management.
- Strategic thinking and enabler for delivery of sustainability and digital & technology development
