Company Introduction
KOFIH is a Korean public organization affiliated to Ministry of Health, the Republic of Korea and established in 2006 to provide healthcare assistance to developing countries, overseas Koreans and migrant workers in Korea contributing to international cooperation and humanitarianism. It had founded its representative office in Hanoi, 2021 to implement Korean grant aid (ODA) projects focusing on health area in Vietnam and strengthen bilateral relations between two countries fostering technical assistance and human resource exchanges.
Basic functions of the Position
• Develop, implement, manage and oversee Korean Health(care) ODA projects according to the guidance of KOFIH Vietnam Office in coordination with KOFIH Headquarter such as Regional Cooperation for Asia, Vietnam Ministry of Health, Public Hospitals and Medical Universities in Vietnam, Provincial/City People's Committee(PPC/CPC), Provincial Department of Health(DOH), UN Development Programme (UNDP), World Health Organization (WHO), various Korean ODA agencies and other key partners.
• Provide technical expertise to KOFIH Vietnam Office, as well as in coordination with other relevant thematic areas to implement projects related to technical cooperation, health policy, health promotion, hospital management, medical equipment management, healthcare workers strengthening, digital transformation in healthcare area and climate change and health.
• Oversee the implementation of KOFIH projects in Vietnam in several provinces by providing technical expertise such as tracking the project progress, encouraging the key focal points and management as well to proceed with the project procedures and receiving/reviewing all the milestone project documents including project proposal, project plan, project implementation plan, budget plan, periodic progress report and annual report. Review the project document and provide comments according to the current Vietnamese foreign investment/aid regulations, and coordinate with government partners and other development partners.
• Organize and facilitate technical meetings, seminars, and national and international workshops in support of the Ministry of Health and partner organizations by providing technical expertise and coordination support as KOFIH Vietnam Office.
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance as well as UN agencies and other relevant stakeholders to organize and facilitate national/regional and bilateral dialogues for public health, health promotion, and digital transformation in health area integrating health into regular pathways.
• Liaise with other Vietnamese authorities to support the development and implementation of cross-thematic project, focusing on mainstreaming health promotion and technical cooperation into ensuring the better access of the residents in remote areas to quality healthcare service, integration of health considerations within regular pathways, Public Health, Health System Strengthening, Empowering Healthcare Workers, Digital Transformation, and Climate Change and Health.
• Represent the Korean Health ODA projects of KOFIH Vietnam Office in relevant coordination meetings with partners, donors, and Health Partnership Group(HPG) and other coordination meetings in public health.
• Ensure project expenditures, budget forecasting, revision and periodic reports for KOFIH and Korean relevant government on project delivery, including interim and final reports to KOFIH.
• Develop and manage Public Health Research activities, collect and analyse relevant data and information on identified issues within the field of health.
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
• Be dispatched for field missions to all over Vietnam arching from Northern to Southern provinces such as Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang, An Giang, Ben Tre, Ca Mau and so on.
