Position: Project Manager in Furniture Production
Direct Superior: Project Director
Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of a project and ensure the delivery of high-quality custom-made furniture to our clients. As soon as a PO is issued, the PM is the person fully responsible for managing all aspects of the project through delivery to site.
• Set up and coordinate Internal and External Project Launch Meetings for new projects assigned to the PM.
• Communicate daily with US PMs and manage the daily update of all projects related information in Basecamp.
• Work with furniture factories to facilitate the approval of all drawings, finishes, COM, and technical details for all items being produced.
• Ensure all items are engineered properly and fit for purpose in a contract furniture environment. Cooperation required with the Engineering Dept. and QC Director.
• Coordinate with our Project Management data entry staff to finish submission in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with our Project Management data entry staff to provide C2C hardware including glide, leveler, metal tag, fabric tag, law label to the factories.
• Check weekly production status reports with photographs of items in progress from the factories to ensure the project is still on track of completion as agreement.
• Inspect and responsible for quality control during the production process and prior to packing to ensure the highest quality.
• Develop a mockup review for carcasses, finishing, final, packing steps for any items with quantity greater than 20 pcs. Mockup to be checked and approved by PM prior to shipping.
• Coordinate and follow up with the delivery of COM to the factory that will be making the products.
• Work to incorporate any accessories, lighting and equipment into the design and construction of the furniture.
• Work with factories to confirm a shipping/loading plan and coordinate with Logistics to ensure container delivery to factories.
• Update actual shipments and provide final photography, final packing photos for items that have been shipped.
