GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the factory QA team to ensure product quality, effective quality system implementation, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Responsible for preventing quality issues, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and international quality standards.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Quality Management System (QMS)
• Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure quality procedures, work instructions, standards, and inspection protocols are effectively deployed and followed throughout manufacturing operations.
• Monitor quality KPIs and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve overall quality performance.
Production Quality Control
• Lead and supervise the QA team across all manufacturing stages, including incoming materials, in-process inspections.
• Establish effective quality control plans and inspection criteria for wood, metal, upholstery, leather, fabric, finishing, and assembled furniture products.
• Analyze quality defects, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Ensure timely disposition and resolution of non-conforming materials and products.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify quality-related risks and opportunities for process improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, improving process capability, increasing efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Apply quality tools and methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, 8D, PDCA, FMEA, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles where appropriate.
• Drive a quality culture focused on prevention rather than detection.
Team Leadership
• Develop QA personnel to build a high-performing quality organization.
• Set performance objectives, conduct evaluations, and provide ongoing development opportunities for QA team members.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and accountability for quality across all departments.
• Promote safety, professionalism, and continuous learning within the QA team.
Customer and Supplier Quality
• Act as the primary quality representative during customer visits, audits, and quality discussions.
• Review customer complaints, warranty claims, and field quality feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support supplier quality management activities, including supplier evaluations, audits, quality issue resolution, and development programs.
• Ensure suppliers consistently meet quality expectations and specifications.
Yêu cầu
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Wood Technology, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field.
Experience
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within furniture manufacturing.
• At least 3-5 years of leadership experience managing QA/QC teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience serving customers in European and American markets.
Technical Expertise
Deep understanding of:
• Solid wood furniture manufacturing processes
• Veneer and panel furniture production
• Metal fabrication and finishing processes
• Upholstery manufacturing
• Leather and fabric application processes
• Sofa and upholstered furniture construction
• Solvent-based finishing systems
• Water-based finishing systems
• Furniture assembly and packaging processes
• Product testing requirements and quality standards for export markets
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and quality control methodologies.
• Proven experience in root cause analysis and problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong project management and continuous improvement capabilities.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary:
• Competitive salary: USD 800 - 1,000 (negotiable based on qualifications and experience).
