I. JOB PURPOSE
1. Test Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive test plans and procedures to evaluate product functionality, performance, and reliability.
Record and document test results, including defects and deviations from expected behavior.
2. Defect Identification and Documentation:
Conduct defect analysis and accurately document identified issues.
Prioritize defects based on severity, impact on functionality, and business priorities.
Document defects in a defect tracking system, including detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and supporting evidence.
3. Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the QA function.
Propose and implement process improvements, including updates to testing procedures, automation initiatives, and adoption of best practices.
Monitor and measure the impact of process improvements, including metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and testing cycle time.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality standards.
Coordinate testing activities with development teams to ensure adequate test coverage and timely resolution of defects.
Act as a liaison between QA and other departments to facilitate communication and collaboration on quality-related issues.
5. Documentation Management:
Maintain accurate documentation of testing activities, results, and findings.
Organize and catalog test artifacts in a document management system or repository for easy access and retrieval.
Review and validate documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards and guidelines.
