Mô tả công việc
The Quality Engineer (FAI Specialist) will be responsible for conducting First Article Inspections to ensure that products meet quality and performance standards. This role requires a deep understanding of measurement techniques, plastic part drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). The ideal candidate will be proficient in using various measurement equipment and have strong English communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) on plastic parts to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Use common measurement equipment, including but not limited to, Visual Measurement Machines (VMM) and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications related to plastic parts.
Select appropriate measurement equipment and define measurement methods for dimensional checks.
Utilize GD&T principles to assess and verify part dimensions and tolerances.
Conduct NG dimension analysis and provide detailed reports on non-conformances.
Perform statistical analysis including CPK (Process Capability Index) and GR&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility) studies to evaluate measurement systems and process capabilities.
Document and report inspection results, including any non-conformances or deviations from specifications.
Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to resolve any issues identified during inspections.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and ensure traceability of measurement data.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes and product quality.
Yêu cầu
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 02 years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on FAI and plastic parts.
Proficiency in using measurement equipment such as VMM, CMM, calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
Strong understanding of technical drawings, particularly those related to plastic components.
Solid experience with GD&T principles and their application in inspections.
Proficiency in NG dimension analysis and problem-solving techniques.
Knowledge of statistical tools such as CPK and GR&R studies.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management system standards.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification in quality assurance (e.g., CQE, CQA) is a plus.
