Quality Manager

Reports to: VP of Quality, Asia
Position Purpose:
Oversee and direct the Quality Assurance/Controls function. Ensure quality and regulatory compliance is met for each function and/or product line.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop, mentor and motivate self-motivated staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
2. Manage and direct day to day activities of quality assurance and quality control team to ensure quality of products purchased from suppliers in Vietnam.
3. Steer to optimize the process flow within the team and among teams in order to improve productivity and efficiency; eliminate time and resources waste; investigate and adopt best practices and lessons learned from within or outside of organization.
4. Collaborate with Corporate Quality, Sourcing team and suppliers for the development of product specifications for Medline labeled products.
5. Lead and collaborate with Sourcing team to develop, qualify new suppliers and maintain existing suppliers in Vietnam conformance to all applicable requirements. Assist them in developing, implementing and maintaining QA programs..
6. Support business partners (sourcing team in Shanghai Office and product divisions at Corporate Office) to meet their goals by developing and qualifying suppliers and products.
7. Develop quality programs with Corporate Quality, Shanghai Quality and cross functional teams, implement and maintain them in the Vietnam Office as well as at strategic suppliers.
8. Prepare and deliver sourcing team and supplier presentations and training.
