R&D Manager

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Innovation Manager to lead product development initiatives within the Beverages category. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise and a proven track record in Beverages product development, formulation, and innovation. Experience handling coconut based products will be a big plus. This role will play a key part in expanding our product portfolio, improving existing products, and driving market-relevant innovation to support business growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Product Development & Innovation
• Lead the end-to-end development of coconut-based beverage products, focusing on
Coconut Water (RTD), Coconut Milk/Cream, and value-added derivatives.
• Develop and optimize formulations
• Oversee lab-scale prototyping and pilot plant trials, ensuring a seamless transition to full-
scale commercial production.
• Utilize advanced sensory evaluation and analytical testing to ensure consistency in flavor,
texture, and "mouthfeel".
2. Market & Consumer Insight Integration
• Provide technical guidance on thermal processing (HTST/UHT) and aseptic packaging
requirements specific to coconut based beverages.
• Apply knowledge of additives to improve the shelf-life and physical stability of products on
shelf. Apply knowledge to formulate products without additives.
• Manage raw material sourcing standards, understanding how coconut maturity and variety
affect the final product's composition.
3. Project & Pipeline Management
• Monitor global trends in the plant-based dairy and functional hydration sectors to identify
white-space opportunities.
• Translate consumer needs for "Clean Label" and "No Added Sugar" into viable product
recipes.
• Collaborate with the Commercialization team to validate product claims regarding hydration,
electrolytes, and nutritional benefits.
4. Technical Expertise & Problem-Solving
• Manage the R&D project pipeline, ensuring milestones are met from initial concept to
market launch.
• Work closely with Quality & Food Safety (QFS) team to establish Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Parameters for new launches.
