ROLE PURPOSES:
• Manage Technical Service activities of the region/ cluster
• Technical leader to support clusters in the region to grow the business and achieve profitable sales growth by applying technical knowledge.
• To be personally responsible for the direct management Technical Services across the region and business for strategic customers as directed.
• Develop, plan and implement technical and service programs to support company sales, marketing and new product development goals for new and existing customers.
• Act as the principle technical leader to support clusters in 'East Asia' to underpin existing business and be responsible for identifying, and leading the business development with strategic customers.
• Responsible of technical services alignment, development, standardization and adoption of best practices to be in line with the company's guidelines.
• Encourage and engage the technical services team to develop a growth mindset based on proactive actions to enhance performance and improve results.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES:
Technical Sales
• Provide technical leadership & support in the pre-sales/post-sales for problem solving/ recommendations/ productivity improvement with brands and contractors.
• Establish a broad range of influential contacts and key decision makers across all levels within the customer and internal organization to deliver business objectives.
• Seek, engage and undertake activities such as training, consultancy services, tools and technologies for specific needs, as well as productivity enhancement studies
• Help build value in the mind of the customer to develop competitive advantage
• Develop empathy, trust and strong commercial relationship with customer senior management as well as technical teams
• Establish an effective communication channel with Commercial Directors and Sales Managers in the region in order to prioritize technical activities to deliver the sales plan
Technical Services
• Serve as the subject matter expert with regards to the Apparel & Footwear industry.
• Take the lead to solve technical issues closely with customers
• Consult with new and existing customers on new product offers and problem solving including working with customers in transitioning from a competitors' products, managing PES (Productivity Enhancement Solutions)
• Develop and provide coordination for the regional technical team and build capability and consistency.
• Promote innovate solutions including digital tools.
• Establish strategic alliances and undertake technical activities in conjunction with other related suppliers such as sewing machines manufacturers, needles manufacturers, fabric mills, etc.
• Build and keep a capable team through engagement, training, development, motivation, recognition and get them accountable to achieve their goals.
Marketing and Communication
• Provide input and insights to Marketing team on the various apparel threads, application and trends.
• Conduct formal presentations at senior level, both internally and externally
• Follow and promote new product launch and campaigns for specific end uses along with the technical team members in the region.¬¬
Analysis
• Provide technical leadership & support in the pre-sales/post-sales for problem solving and relationship building with customers, brands, and contractors in development, production and quality.
• Track key competitors with respect to their product offers and product developments.
• Strategic Planning skills to set goals and develop projects effectively for sales growth.
