Role summary
Vietpay is hiring one Sales Channel Recruiting and Training Manager per city in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang. Reporting to the local Branch Manager, each manager recruits, onboards, trains, assesses, and certifies channel partners in their assigned city, including distribution partners, independent sales agents, resellers, distributors, and independent sales organizations (ISOs).
The role improves existing training materials and establishes a consistent certification program. Certified partners are formally handed over to the designated
sales manager, who owns ongoing sales targets, pipeline management, and partner sales performance. Candidates must have relevant experience in fintech, banking, lending, credit card sales, or life insurance. Payments and point of sale (POS) experience are significant advantages.
Key responsibilities
1) Market the partner opportunity and recruit candidates
Attract suitable channel partners through recruitment campaigns, targeted outreach, referrals, professional networks, and recruitment events.
Explain Vietpay products, the partner business model, commercial opportunity, expectations, and onboarding requirements accurately.
Build recruitment relationships with business networks, associations, agencies, and other sources of suitable partner candidates.
Screen candidates for relevant experience, professional conduct, commitment, and ability to sell to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Maintain recruitment records, follow up with candidates, and coordinate qualification and selection with the local Branch Manager.
2) Standardize onboarding and training materials
Review and improve existing materials to establish a consistent, repeatable onboarding, training, and certification program.
Organize partner onboarding, explain required documentation, and coordinate completion with the relevant internal teams.
Develop practical sales scripts, discovery questions, product guides, exercises, assessments, and trainer guidance.
Maintain clear training schedules, learning objectives, attendance records, and version control for training materials.
Distinguish partner onboarding and readiness to sell from merchant onboarding, service activation, and the first transaction.
3) Teach structured selling and CRM use
Teach the defined sales process: prospecting, discovery, qualification, proposals, objection handling, closing, and handover after the sale.
Train partners in consultative questioning to uncover merchant needs, operational challenges, decision criteria, and buying authority.
Teach partners to prepare and explain return on investment (ROI) analyses using defensible assumptions, relevant costs, potential savings, and measurable benefits. Develop practical ROI examples and tools.
Train partners to use the customer relationship management (CRM) system for lead entry, qualification, sales stages, activity records, follow-up tasks, and data quality. Develop supporting CRM guides.
4) Deliver practical training and assess readiness
Deliver classroom, online, and practical training using demonstrations, role plays, and realistic merchant scenarios.
Train partners on Vietpay products and merchant benefits, including POS solutions, QR payments, merchant onboarding, settlement, and reporting fundamentals.
Assess product knowledge, consultative selling, objection handling, and the ability to follow the defined sales process.
Verify CRM proficiency and the ability to present a clear ROI analysis with transparent assumptions and accurate calculations.
Assess ethical sales practices, accurate product claims, and understanding of applicable compliance and customer information requirements.
5) Certify partners and complete the sales handover
Establish consistent certification criteria, document assessment results, and certify only candidates who meet the required standard.
Provide remedial training and reassessment for candidates who do not meet certification requirements; maintain clear status records.
Hand certified partners over to the designated sales manager with partner details, training records, certification status, strengths, and development needs. Record handover completion and acceptance.
6) Report results and improve program effectiveness
Coordinate with the Branch Manager, sales managers, Operations, Product, Risk, and Support to keep recruitment and training accurate and relevant.
Use sales manager feedback on partner readiness and early sales results to improve recruitment, training, and certification. Ongoing sales ownership remains with the sales manager.
Report weekly on recruitment activity, candidate conversion, training progress, assessment results, certification status, and handover completion.

At least five years of relevant experience in channel recruitment, partner development, or sales training, including responsibility for partner or team development.
Demonstrated success recruiting distribution partners, independent sales agents, resellers, distributors, or ISOs, and training and certifying external partners or independent sales teams.
Relevant experience in at least one of the following sectors: fintech, banking, lending, credit card sales, or life insurance.
Proven ability to teach structured sales methods, consultative questioning, ROI analysis, and practical CRM use.
Experience improving existing training content and establishing consistent onboarding, assessment, and certification standards; confident working with international teams and leadership.
