**Purpose of the Role**
The Wellbeing Team Leader is responsible for leading and developing a comprehensive student wellbeing framework, integrating school counselling, SEN provision, and preventative wellbeing programmes, in alignment with MOET regulations and international best practices.
The role ensures that all students are supported to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally, within a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment consistent with a British international school ethos.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Strategic Leadership of Wellbeing**
• Develop and implement a whole-school wellbeing strategy aligned with MOET requirements and international standards.
• Promote a proactive and preventative approach to student mental health and wellbeing.
• Contribute to school improvement planning with a focus on student support and inclusion.
• Establish policies and procedures for wellbeing, counselling, and SEN support.
**SEN Provision (Special Educational Needs)**
• Lead the identification, assessment, and support of students with additional learning needs.
• Oversee the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or equivalent support plans.
• Ensure appropriate differentiation and inclusive practices across classrooms.
• Collaborate with teachers to support SEN students' academic and emotional development.
• Liaise with external specialists (e.g. educational psychologists, therapists) when required.
**School Counselling Services**
• Oversee and/or deliver professional counselling services for students.
• Provide support for a range of needs including:
○ Emotional wellbeing
○ Behavioural concerns
○ Social development
○ Crisis intervention
• Ensure ethical and confidential handling of all counselling cases.
• Develop referral systems and intervention pathways within the school.
**Wellbeing Programmes & Prevention**
• Design and implement preventative wellbeing programmes, including:
○ Social-emotional learning (SEL)
○ Mental health awareness
○ Resilience and coping skills
• Organise workshops, campaigns, and student-led initiatives promoting wellbeing.
• Integrate wellbeing into the broader curriculum and co-curricular activities.
**Safeguarding & Student Protection**
• Act as a key member of the safeguarding team.
• Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns in accordance with school policies.
• Maintain accurate and secure records of wellbeing and safeguarding cases.
• Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and respect.
**Staff Training & Capacity Building**
• Provide training for teachers and staff on:
○ Student wellbeing and mental health awareness
○ SEN support strategies and inclusive teaching
• Support staff in managing student wellbeing concerns effectively.
• Build a consistent, school-wide approach to student support.
**Parent Engagement & External Collaboration**
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student wellbeing and support plans.
• Provide guidance to parents on supporting children's mental health and development.
• Coordinate with external agencies and professionals where appropriate.
Yêu cầu
● Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Counselling, or a related field.
● Professional qualification in counselling, educational psychology, or SEN is highly desirable.
● Teaching qualification (as required by MOET) is an advantage.
● Minimum of 3 years' experience in student wellbeing, counselling, or SEN support.
● Experience in a bilingual or international school setting is highly desirable.
● Proven experience in developing or leading wellbeing programmes.
● Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
● Knowledge of SEN frameworks and inclusive education practices.
● Strong counselling and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
● Strong organisational, leadership, and case management skills.
● High level of English proficiency for working in an international environment.
● Empathy, integrity, and professionalism.
● Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
● Collaborative and reflective practitioner.
● Alignment with the values of holistic education and a British school ethos.
● Effectiveness of SEN provision and student progress
● Student wellbeing indicators (engagement, attendance, emotional health)
