Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and controlling financial activities within the CNC manufacturing facility. The role focuses on cost accounting, machine cost analysis, inventory control of raw materials and spare parts, production costing, payment request reviewing and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant works closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and improved operational efficiency. This position will report directly to the Chief Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Cost Accounting
• Calculate and monitor CNC production costs (materials, labor, machine time, tooling, overhead).
• Track machine hour rates and setup costs.
• Perform variance analysis on material usage, scrap, and rework.
• Analyze job costing per batch/order.
• Prepare standard cost updates for raw materials and machining operations.

2. Inventory & Materials Control
• Manage inventory records for raw materials (metal, components), WIP, finished goods.
• Monitor tooling inventory (cutting tools, inserts, spare parts).
• Conduct periodic physical stock counts.
• Control scrap and waste reporting.
3. Daily and weekly tasks
• Assist with reviewing payment records to ensure compliance with the law.
• Assist accountant with entering accounting transactions.
• And other tasks assigned by the Chief Accountant.
4. Financial Reporting
• Support month-end closing and cost adjustments.
• Provide profitability analysis by product line or project.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting for CNC operations.
5. Compliance & Controls
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Maintain strong internal control over inventory and production costs.
6. Cross-Department Collaboration
• Work closely with production managers and engineers.
• Provide cost analysis for pricing and quotations.
• Assist management with financial decision-making.
