The Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer (NodeJS/NestJS) for a full-time and remote position. As a Senior Backend Engineer at Dtravel, you will be a key contributor to our backend infrastructure, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our server-side applications. Your role will encompass a broad range of technical responsibilities, from collaborating with cross-functional teams to implementing robust, scalable, and secure backend services. You will work closely with Solution Architect, front-end developers and blockchain developers to deliver high-quality, performant solutions. Your technical expertise will be driving the architectural decisions, optimizing system performance, and ensuring seamless integration of various components within our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, operation, and monitoring. Ensure that each phase meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Design and implement scalable and robust backend architectures using NodeJS and NestJS. Ensure that the architecture is modular, maintainable, and can handle high traffic loads efficiently.
- Work closely with product owners, solution architects, and other developers to understand requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality features. Facilitate clear and effective communication across teams.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in backend development. Conduct research and share knowledge with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Your Skills and Experience
- Experience with JS/NodeJS based frameworks like NestJS (alternative ExpressJS).
- Strong understanding of database design: SQL and NoSQL and familiarity with database services like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch.
- Experience with API design: RESTful, GraphQL.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and proficiency in writing unit tests.
- Experience with caching systems: Redis, Memcached, etc.
- Experience with messaging systems: Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.
- Experience with Cloud services including AWS, GCP.
- Excellent foundation in computer science, algorithms, and problem-solving skills.
- Ownership, proactive attitude, honesty, and commitment to self-improvement.
- Experience in writing highly secure web applications.
