This position will be located in Ho Chi Minh City, and is a locally engaged position subject to Vietnamese labor law and is available for only Vietnamese nationals.
Senior Business Development Manager will:
• Take a lead role in driving the Austrade Vietnam AFC team, business development efforts and work collaboratively with all team members to develop and implement sector strategic and operational plans to achieve annual goals and objectives.
• Manage and work with assigned projects, including coordinating fellow BDM staff to deliver on Austrade's objectives in Vietnam. This includes development of marketing plans and initiatives, allocation of tasks within the team, and working with the team to find solutions to complex issues.
• Provide services to Australian companies looking to expand to Vietnam, including providing advice on market conditions, market entry strategies, potential partners, and the government regulatory environment in Vietnam; conducting market research and analysis to identify market trends and business opportunities for Australian companies, coordinating visit programs and providing in-market support.
• Help to drive commercial outcomes through identification and introduction of market opportunities to Australian industry.
• Build and maintain networks with key business contacts, government agencies and other stakeholders in Vietnam.
• Work closely with businesses to determine their needs and help them develop international growth strategies specific to your market.
• Work as part of the Austrade Vietnam team to contribute to the development and delivery of the Austrade Vietnam Business Plan and team outcomes.
• Provide coaching to team members, ensure team members understand their role, utilise Austrade systems effectively, and adhere to Austrade policies in carrying out their work.
• Actively apply Austrade business practices and maintain accuracy of information in all Austrade Business Systems to deliver accurate and timely reporting and effective relationship management.
• Contribute to knowledge creation with Austrade, by adopting information practices, sharing knowledge and information, and by embracing best practice and development opportunities.
• Maintain Austrade standards and policies, including diversity in the workplace, ethical practice and compliance with audit requirements.
• Be part of a global team of experts to provide strategic advice and drive outcomes for business.
• Work collaboratively with Austrade colleagues in Australia, States, Territories and partners (professional firms and Industry bodies).
• Proactively contribute to agri-food marketing and social media campaigns to support Australian industry in Vietnam and enhance Austrade's digital service channels.
• Represent Australia and Austrade in both corporate and government settings.
• Clearly communicate Austrade's services and value proposition to clients and partners.

Yêu cầu

Given the nature of what we do, we thrive when our teams are made up of people from different backgrounds, cultures, genders, education, training, interests and skills. There are particular aspects we will consider when looking for successful candidate for this role:
• Have at least 8 years of experience, knowledge, expertise and networks across international industry supply chains - food, agribusiness, retail and/or e-commerce (relevant to the agribusiness, food and cconsumer sectors).
• Demonstrated ability and experience in leading others by example and by direction; aligning the work of team members with goals and objectives set by management; encouraging and fostering cooperative behaviour between team members to achieve individual and collective team goals
• Have experience in account management and business development roles supported by commercial acumen and consultative selling skills, understanding of key issues in doing business in a global context and the Australian business environment.
• Demonstrated experience in the development and management of productive working relationships (with Australian enterprises, local customers, government bodies, industry groups etc.) as well as proven ability to utilise a network to help achieve business results in an international context.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with a particular ability to influence and negotiate agreement with multiple stakeholders and promote Australia to a broad range of audiences; capable to develop and deliver external communications, public relations and digital communications including social media campaigns.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the AFC industry in an international context specifically as it relates to the Vietnam market including policy, market regulations, market and customer dynamics, supply chain logistics and procurement.
• Be accountable for meeting key performance measures including high client satisfaction and strategic export outcomes.
• Work effectively and autonomously in geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams to achieve shared goals.
