Operations Management
• Coordinate and monitor daily transport activities, including trucking plan, route optimization, delivery timeliness.
• Ensure timely system updates and reporting.
• Manage service performance & KPIs, providing action plans for further improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues/ escalations.
• Monitor Operational Finance, including validating the debit/ payment requests from vendors, handling vendor/ customer billing in system.
• Vendor management: trucking capacity and volume allocation.
• Enhance productivity and performance through operational initiatives.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high service quality.
• Monitor external factors, such as regulatory changes and market trends, that may affect transportation procurement and operation.
• Support the sourcing and tendering process for customs and transportation services.
• Participate in new project implementation and being a key executive for key accounts.
Operational Compliance
• Ensure the execution of plans in accordance with company processes, procedures, and best practices, including Business Contingency Plans as necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service offerings, streamline processes, and maximize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand market trends, competitors and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth and improvement.
• Ensure the compliance to internal & external audit controls; audit vendor security and safety, update audit result in the system, and follow up on vendors' corrective action plans.
Other Key Responsibilities
• Prepare regular analytical reports and develop a strategic
business development plan to drive profitable and sustainable growth.
• Manage monthly review of partners/vendors in collaboration with Operations, ensuring compliance and evaluating scorecards.
• Develop a pricing strategy that is competitive and aligned with market trends and customer needs.
• Define Product Value Proposition and Differentiators, including the development of success stories.
• Develop new transport service and value-added services (VAS) to ensure product differentiation from competitors.
• Foster effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Participate in Business Development meetings with customers together with Sales.
• Expand services in scope of solution design and new business development.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Manager.
