JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Data Performance Analyst is responsible for planning, monitoring, forecasting, analyzing, and reporting the costs of drilling and well completion activities, while maintaining the data models and digital tools that support these processes. The role controls expenditure against AFE, WPB, and FDP; monitors commitments, actuals, accruals, and Value of Work Done (VOWD); and provides reliable cost performance information to support management and JV partner decision making.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Budget Planning & Cost Estimating
• Coordinate annual and multi year WPB, AFE, and FDP cost inputs for drilling and completion activities.
• Develop and challenge cost estimates using drilling schedules, historical performance, contract rates, scope assumptions, and risk allowances.
• Prepare budget phasing in line with operational plans, contracting strategy, and procurement timelines.
2. Cost Monitoring, Forecasting & Variance Analysis
• Track budget utilization by well, contract, cost code, and accounting period, including commitments, actuals, accruals, and VOWD.
• Maintain Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts and reconcile cost data across relevant systems.
• Analyze variances against AFE, WPB, and FDP; identify root causes, emerging risks, and required corrective actions.
3. Contract, Commitment & Change Control
• Review commercial and payment provisions and monitor the cost status of contracts, Purchase Orders, Call Offs, and Work Orders.
• Maintain commitment registers and verify alignment with approved budgets, cost codes, and authorization limits.
• Assess the cost impact of scope changes, variations, claims, and schedule movements and incorporate approved changes into the forecast.
4. Invoice, Accrual & VOWD Control
• Verify invoices and proforma invoices against contract terms, approved rates, work progress, delivery records, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate monthly accruals and VOWD with Engineers and Contract Owners to ensure complete and accurate period end recognition.
• Track invoice status, payment schedules, and outstanding cost items and resolve discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.
5. AFE Lifecycle & Cost Close Out
• Prepare and coordinate AFE submissions, justifications, revisions, supplementary requests, and approval tracking.
• Monitor actual and forecast cost against approved AFE and complete cost reconciliation and AFE close out documentation.
6. Cost Reporting, JV & Audit Support
• Prepare monthly cost reports, management summaries, cash call inputs, and JV performance reporting with clear variance explanations.
• Develop cost and performance KPIs and communicate trends, risks, and forecast changes to DCD management.
• Support partner reviews and audits through traceable calculations, reconciliations, and complete supporting documentation.
7. Cost Data, Systems & Dashboards
• Maintain reliable cost data models and administer drilling cost management tools (e.g., WCM), including category and master data control.
• Reconcile and integrate data from SAP/ERP, WCM, WellView, operational reports, and other approved sources.
• Develop fit for purpose Excel and Power BI reports while ensuring data integrity, controlled access, and consistent definitions.
8. Operational & Stakeholder Coordination
• Work closely with Drilling & Completion Engineers to translate actual progress, schedule changes, and scope changes into accurate VOWD and EAC.
• Coordinate with SCM, Planning, Finance, Contract Owners, and vendors to maintain consistent cost, commitment, invoice, and forecast information.
• Provide cost control guidance and timely analytical support to the Cost Control Team Leader and DCD management.
9. Process Improvement & Cost Governance
• Standardize cost coding, reporting, reconciliation, document control, and data quality checks in line with company and JV requirements.
• Identify and implement practical automation and process improvements that strengthen control, traceability, and reporting efficiency.
10. Other Responsibilities
• Perform other relevant cost control, performance analysis, and reporting tasks as assigned by the Cost Control Team Leader.

Yêu cầu
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related Oil & Gas Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 5 years of hands on project or drilling cost control experience.
• Proven experience in AFE, WPB, and FDP planning, cost estimating, budget phasing, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated knowledge of contract cost control, cost coding, commitments, accruals, VOWD, EAC, invoice verification, and cost close out.
• Experience with JV cost reporting, partner reviews, audits, and supporting document requirements is highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel capability for cost models and reconciliations; experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP and drilling cost or operational systems (e.g., WCM and WellView) is desirable.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
