The Job
ABOUT THE JOB:
We are seeking experienced Database Administrators who is responsible for the ongoing management and delivery governance of one or more end-to-end Database Services, incorporating Strategy, Design, Run, Provisioning & Automation, Transition & Change, Support, Delivery Performance & Quality, Capacity & Continuity, Issue & Risk Management.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the DB service(s) across the organization o Identifies and addresses risks with the operation of the service
- Contributes to the identification of issues / incidents / events that impact agreed service KPIs, SLA's, Service Health o Provides end-to-end (E2E) technical support and direction across service management processes including: incident, problem, change, configuration, monitor and alerting
- Ensure appropriate capacity, risk and security monitoring, compliance remediation, disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place across the portfolio, any issues are to be identified and rectified appropriately
- Collaborate with other infrastructure squads & stakeholders, project services & service management to ensure high quality and successful transition of all service(s) changes
- Ensure adequate communication, knowledge sharing and issue resolution across delivery and support teams
- Another important part of the role is to perform On-Call support, where you will be remunerated accordingly and be part of a team of 9
- Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.
Your Skills and Experience
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 4-6 years' experience in Database Technology and delivery, with a strong background in the practical hands-on, incident handle & deployment of large scale Database infrastructures
- 4-6 years' experience with SQL Server Database administration, any experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL would be an strong advantage
- Strong experience with Enterprise and BAU operations including DB Magement (install, config, maintain...), performance optimization (monitor, tuning, index/stats management...), Data integrity, Backup & Recovery, DB troubleshooting & Incident handling, Patching & Security, Storage planning, DR exercise
- Strong experience with SQL Server High Availability (HA) solutions: Windows Clustering, AlwaysOn Availability Group, Mirorring, Log Shipping...
- Experience with design, implementing and managing enterprise Database and application dependencies and toolsets
- Strong business communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in coordinating multiple stakeholders and 3rd parties to deliver successful outcomes in a time sensitive environment
- Strong awareness and understanding of both on-prem & cloud infrastructures, networks, software technologies and project life cycle
- Experience with Oracle HA solutions is a big advantage: RAC, Data Guard, [protected info] a strong plus
- Any experience with PostgreSQL would be an advantage
- Tertiary qualification in a Technology discipline or related field
