Mô tả công việc
Independently with little supervision, responsible for coordinating all phases of footwear research and development for assigned footwear category / projects (experience with Running/athletic footwear is a plus), from receiving tech pack (footwear drawing / CADs / material maps etc) to sign-off product confirmation shoe within set timeline and target price. You will work within a cross-functional team structure and have daily communication with HQ development and factory partners, including material suppliers.
• Responsible for the research and development from the approved design through the confirmation stage.
• Coordinate all phases of development utilizing the available resources of Design, Product Line Manager, Model Shop, Wear Testing and PUMA Herzo & Boston
• Assist and contribute ideas for product design, construction, materials, compounds and components to enhance functionality.
• Generate a technical development package for each project for initiating the development process.
• Work with category team and PUMA to develop projects within established timelines
• Daily communication to PUMA for expediting development process.
• Examine all prototypes to assure all specifications are correct and within product cost targets.
• Prepare and update project status reports.
• Work with Tooling Engineer to Sign off on all blueprints prior to opening sample molds.
• Coordinate the fit and wear testing at appropriate prototype stage with the wear test coordinator. Evaluate the feedback and implement revisions to PUMA from early prototypes to final confirmed extreme sizes wear testing.
• Assist on production quality issues when necessary.
• Complete Tech pack of Development project and handover to C&E team for production.
Yêu cầu
• Preferable +6-10 years footwear development experience is required either from factory base or other international footwear brands, eg Team leader or Senior Team leader.
• Able to read 2D blue prints and follow material maps and/or CADs.
• Some experience in footwear costing is a plus but not necessary.
• Know footwear pattern, different footwear constructions and assembly/manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Bachelor degree in industrial engineering/design, business or any related field will be consider.
• Proven problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure and independent with little monitoring
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• English is the main communication language; thus fluent or moderate English language skills is required.
