Senior Engineering Procurement Officer

I. Key responsibilities
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications
- Coordinate with Engineering/Technical team to clarify requirements before sourcing
- Define material (grade, standard, size, and special conditions)
- Handle sourcing for direct materials
- Manage outsourcing for secondary processes (machining, coating, heat treatment, NDT, etc.)
- Evaluate suppliers' technical capabilities, certifications, and production capacity
- Support cost estimation and technical alignment
- Ensure suppliers understand technical and quality requirements
- Monitor supplier performance on technical compliance and delivery
- Coordinate technical discussions between suppliers and internal Engineering team
- Support supplier selection based on technical compliance and feasibility
- Work closely with SA/Engineering/Technical teams to fulfill RFQ requirements from customers in a timely and accurate manner
- Act as a key interface between Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales (SA) during RFQ stage
- Participate in internal weekly RFQ review meetings and technical discussions
- Escalate risks related to technical feasibility, supplier capability, or lead time
- Contribute to improving RFQ lead time, first-time accuracy, and win rate
- Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to streamline RFQ and sourcing processes
- Support implementation of best practices in engineering procurement
- Maintain personal and professional development appropriate and consistent to the needs of the business.
- Closely adhere to any lessons learnt from previous supplier NCR or delivery quality issues.
- Ensuring the strictest and highest confidentiality is adhered to at all times
- Ensuring all compliance and ethical practices are fully adhered to
