Senior Equipment Engineer

Job Description:
a. HSE compliance
- Prepare/Update SWI for existing machineries/equipment/refractory mechanism at site in term of operation to ensure it fulfils Vesuvius's safety and technical requirements.
- Follow Vesuvius Group HSE rules in daily activities: KPI for SIO, safety audit, machine standard, prepare risk assessment if required for specific equipment
- Continuous up-gradation of knowledge on various application processes of machineries/equipment.
b. Leading installation, maintenance & repair activity
- Oversee the list of machineries/equipment/refractory mechanism to track tool data, information, storage location, or other logistics.
- For Inhouse products (under Vesuvius product family), the candidate shall work with our dedicated technical team to define the installation methods, commissioning, operational manual and maintenance plan.
- For 3rd party products, the candidate shall work with the external suppliers to identify the recommended model/brands of specific machineries/equipment for different applications and seek for technical endorsements internally before purchase. - Transfer the knowledge to the local site teams with proper training to ensure the tools are used in a right and safe manner.
- Define and execute maintenance plan for machineries/equipment in compliance of Vesuvius' standard and not limited to recommendations from original equipment manufacturers.
- Follow up and ensure maintenance plans as well as quality of maintenance are implemented properly to be sure that all equipment/devices in good condition and ready to use.
- Ensure all machineries/equipment are being operated with a proper technical manner and cost savings efficiency
- Lead and support repair activity when needed.
- Lead and support during the hot commissioning new equipment/devices
- Provide the engineering/design feedbacks with closed coordination with regional engineering design for any improvement if required
c. Spare part responsible
- Checking and ensuring spare parts are available according to recommendation from manufacturer
- Continuous update status of spare parts for specific equipment. Prepare order when needed.
- Work with local site logistic responsible to ensure the spare part purchasing is on time manner.
d. Training & Communication
- Coordinate with Site managers to organize or implement operation training for new equipment
- Be a key contact point with equipment supplier/manufacturer for all related issues
e. Research and consultancy for new equipment
- Working closely with MARKETING & TECHNOLOGY Head/ Engineering/Site Manages/Supply Chain Department regarding technical part of new equipment orders. Giving comment/recommendation to support order decision making.
- Study and consult to Site Managers about advantage/dis-advantage of new equipment investments
- Able to advice source/ suppliers based on best specifications and price.
- By the time being, the candidate will collect market feedbacks and our teams to optimize operation efficiencies of these machineries and tools with reasonable investment planning to meet Vesuvius's safety and design compliances, develop the new applications etc.
