GTM MANAGEMENT:
- Manage finish development and production activities for Tops and Bottoms in accordance to GTM timeline.
- Coordinate finish briefs between PD&S, SSM and Vendors to ensure capsule concepts and expectations are achievable and within COGS target
- Lead the fabric/finish development workshop and approval process in time for CS and bulk on-time delivery
- Ensure LS&CO systems (DITTO and PLM) are updated to reflect the most current product attribute records
- Manage all finish testing and highlight risks and constraints at key milestones with actions to resolve (i.e. lab tests, risk analysis, bulk simulations / wide shade bands)
COSTING: Ensures Fabric/Finish is within cost parameters while meeting Design's aesthetics requirements.
- Partner with Vendors, PD&S and SSM- Development
Merchandisers to ensure costing targets are achievable
- In-depth knowledge in finishing process engineering and cost negotiation
- Build effective rapport with Vendors and understand their capabilities along with costs
DEVELOPMENT: Manage the execution of all Fabric/Finish developments, ensuring they fit into the seasonal sourcing strategy, mill strategy, meet LS&CO standards and sustainability goals.
- Initiate all new finishes from finish briefs and submit proper testing to meet standards
- Advise PD&S on relative impact of cost engineering as well as on any constraints, risks and opportunities
- During development - ensure to run after-wash testing and waterless qualification
- Run bulk simulation during development for high-risk products with complex processes. Escalate issues to Design/PD&S team if there is a wide variance
- Ensure Finish Grids/DITTO/PLM are completed with accurate information with weekly updates and download to PD&S, SSM and Vendors
BULK PRODUCTION: Manage bulk scale up, FTL approvals and vendor capability enhancement
- Ensure vendors are able to replicate targets (Sealers/APS), with shade range / FTL being accurate representation of fabric bulk shade lots
- Build VFE's (Vendor Finishing Engineers') skills and capabilities through correlation exercises. Offer technical support to resolve issues on bulk scalability
- Work closely with vendors to ensure all chemicals, finishing processes and procedures adhere and meet SES requirements.
- Partner with PI/QA, SSM and production technicians to identify causes of quality issues, and provide recommendation to solve issues
