Job Purpose
To build a community of supporters who contribute to Blue Dragon's work.
Job Context
Blue Dragon Children's Foundation is on a mission to end human trafficking. We believe that every child deserves exceptional care and a chance to thrive. Blue Dragon works with street kids, children with disabilities, and young people who have been trafficked. After rescuing children from danger and slavery, we reunite them with their family and provide all the services needed for recovery and growth while advocating for improvements to policy and law.
The Communications and Fundraising department ensures the success of Blue Dragon's work through fundraising, communications and marketing, and by maintaining our excellent reputation with donors, sponsors and the wider community.

Key Objectives

• Grow a global community of recurring donors.
• Secure funding from a portfolio of key donors and partners.
• Represent Blue Dragon to the community.
Main responsibilities
This position involves considerable written and online communication as well as some in-person meetings and public representation.
The specific responsibilities will be negotiated with the Donor Relations Lead, Strategic Director and the Impact Strategist, and will include:
Grow a global community of recurring donors
• Contribute to and implement Blue Dragon's strategy for recurring giving.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, ensuring timely responses to requests and reporting on impact.
• Regularly update donors with newsletters, emails and other online communications.
• Closely monitor and follow up with donors to ensure the continuity of their recurring donations.
• Coordinate with teams across the Communications and Fundraising department to promote alignment and consistency in approach.
• Maintain a database and keep records to ensure excellent administration of Blue Dragon's recurring giving program.
Secure funding from a portfolio of key donors and partners
• Research and identify potential funding opportunities.
• Develop strategies to reach out to new potential donors and sponsors.
• Cultivate excellent relationships with donors and partners, connecting them to Blue Dragon's mission and work.
• Prepare proposals, updates, reports and other communication products.
• Support people and groups with their fundraising initiatives.
• Provide support for fundraising campaigns and appeals.
Represent Blue Dragon to the community
• Host visitors at the Blue Dragon centre.
• Arrange and coordinate activities for visiting groups.
• Meet donors and partners in the community.
• Attend meetings and events as a representative of Blue Dragon.
• Prepare and deliver public presentations to a range of audiences.
Support
The Senior Fundraiser will support program staff, senior leaders and members of the Communications and Fundraising department.
This position is supported by the Donor Relations Lead, Strategic Director and the Impact Strategist.

Key selection criteria
Essential
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Vietnamese.
• At least 5 years' experience in fundraising, sales, communications, marketing, or a related field.
• A passion for fundraising and development.
• A track record of writing for a range of audiences, formal and informal.
• A servant leadership mindset.
• An analytical mind with an openness to new ideas and innovations.
• A high level of organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to child protection and safeguarding and Blue Dragon's values.
Desirable but not essential
• Experience working in an NGO environment.
