The Job

Business Logic Testing: Verify that the software's business logic meets the specified requirements and functions correctly.
UI Testing: Conduct thorough testing of the user interface to ensure it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and free of defects.
XSS Testing: Identify and report cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities to ensure the security of the application.
Exception Case Testing: Design and execute test cases for exception scenarios to ensure the application handles errors gracefully and maintains stability.
Boundary Testing: Test the application at the boundaries of input values to ensure it behaves correctly under edge cases.
Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
Reporting: Create detailed test reports that include success rates, fail rates, and other relevant metrics. Provide clear and actionable feedback to the development team.
Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure that quality is maintained throughout the development lifecycle.
Sprint/Scrum Participation: Actively participate in Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and Sprint retrospectives to ensure that quality is integrated into the Agile development process.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and any issues identified during testing.

Your Skills and Experience

Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in quality control or software testing roles, preferably with data platforms or enterprise software.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box testing).
Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit).
Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
Familiarity with SQL and data validation techniques.
Familiarity with Python and pytest
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Self-Direction: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of data governance principles and practices.
Exposure to generative AI technologies or machine learning concepts.
