Technical support
• Keep up to date on new technologies and innovations and able to provide input on trend and newness to fulfill the current material library gaps.
• Establish and agree the technical criteria on which the company standards are based together with the product assurance team and suppliers.
• Conduct risk assessment to identify potential issues on quality during development process, alert business and provide suggestions to resolve issue or offer alternative solutions
• Work with both internal teams and external laboratories on performance and wearer tests.
• Coordinate application testing between supplier, garment vendors and laboratory.
• Keep track on suppliers' bulk quality performance via Quality tracker tool.
• Coordinate with compliance team on material legal requirements and country legislations.
• Support internal stakeholder and supplier on technical questions/concerns.
Color management
• Perform lab dip and SMS/1st bulk approval for solid color.
• Perform SMS/1st bulk approval for strike-off and multi color dips.
• Monitor color continuity performance.
• Ensure lab dip status in PLM is up to date and in timely manner.
• Manage approved lab dips / 1st bulk physical records.
• Evaluate and approve colorfastness requirements and manage exceptions for failed CF color.
• Follow through approval status and comment with suppliers and ensure seasonal color deadline are met.
• Arrange calibration and maintenance of color instruments and light box.
Onsite support
• Regular visit key suppliers to ensure smooth collaboration.
• Work together with Product quality and Product assurance team to resolve materials issue between garment vendors and materials suppliers.
Yêu cầu
• Material and color management knowledges is a must - Life style and Functional materials.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, can be from brand house, trading or manufacture.
• Good understanding of color theory and system, solid coloring knowledge, dyestuff characteristics and printing techniques.
• Knowledge of textile technology, quality standards, materials and product testing.
• Familiar with textile manufacturing processes.
• Pass Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Color or similar Vision Test.
• Ability to use Spectrophotometre is a plus.
• Proven ability to give technical advice and communicate with factories effectively and trouble shooting skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Knowledge of PLM is preferred.
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize work and multi task with strong attention to detail.
• A desire to travel both domestic and international.
• Good in spoken & written English. Mandarin is a plus.
