SENIOR MERCHANDISER

THE ROLEWe are looking for a hands-on Senior Merchandiser who can independently manage overseas buyers and garment orders from development through shipment. This is not a purely supervisory role: you will work directly with buyers and closely with the factory floor to keep orders, quality and delivery under control.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES· Own assigned buyers, styles and orders from inquiry/development through bulk production and shipment.
· Communicate directly and confidently with overseas buyers in fluent English.
· Review tech packs, POs, BOMs, specifications, samples, materials, packing and delivery requirements.
· Manage sampling, costing, material readiness and T&A / Critical Path.
· Work hands-on with Planning, Production, QA/QC, Purchasing, Warehouse and Shipping.
· Regularly verify actual production status and identify risks early.
· Drive corrective actions and recovery plans when material, quality or production problems occur.
· Follow problems to closure - not just report or forward them.
· Ensure on-time shipment while controlling avoidable rework, air freight, claims and chargebacks.
REQUIREMENTS· Minimum 5 years of hands-on garment merchandising experience.
· Proven ability to independently manage international buyers and orders from development to shipment.
· Fluent spoken and written English - mandatory.
· Strong garment production, fabric/trims, sampling, costing, BOM and T&A knowledge.
· Strong ownership, follow-up, problem-solving and commercial awareness.
· Comfortable going to the production floor, checking actual conditions and driving actions with Production/QA.
· Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple styles and deadlines independently.
