Senior Procurement Executive (Project Management)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Procurement Executive is responsible for leading and managing multiple procurement projects. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end procurement process to achieve the winning for the project, from analyzing the structure of BOM technically and provide competitive BOM cost accuracy in the best lead time, plan with the team for outsourcing strategy, engage potential suppliers, delivery monitoring globally. The Senior Procurement Executive collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, project teams, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services that meet the organization's quality and technical requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Procurement Management for Projects: Collaborate with project teams to understand procurement needs and develop procurement plans for specific projects. Ensure timely procurement of critical components and equipment while managing project budgets and timelines effectively.
2. Procurement Planning: Implement a comprehensive procurement plan, including identifying required goods and services, defining specifications, and determining procurement methods (e.g., RFQ, RFP, tender) for projects timely.
3. Procurement Execution: Monitor and track procurement activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to facilitate the timely delivery of goods and services.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify specifications, and ensure timely availability of materials needed for project execution. Foster effective communication and collaboration to meet project objectives. Identify and escalate issues, proposals, demand forecasts, and supply risks to relevant stakeholders promptly. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve procurement-related challenges.
5. Alternative Solutions: Identify and support the exploration of alternative material options when faced with supply constraints or disruptions. Collaborate with technical teams and suppliers to find suitable substitutes or workaround solutions to maintain project timelines.
6. Cost Control and Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and implement cost-saving measures. Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to optimize procurement expenditures, identify potential cost risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
7. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or contract non-compliance. Develop contingency plans and monitor risk factors throughout the procurement process.
8. Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Conduct due diligence on vendors to ensure adherence to social responsibility and sustainability criteria.
9. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze procurement data to track project progress, monitor key performance indicators, and generate reports. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and management regarding project status, risks, and achievements.
10. Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and areas for improvement in procurement practices. Recommend and implement process enhancements to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall procurement effectiveness.
