About the Role
As the Senior Quality Engineer for Payment team, you will join a dynamic team to build Payment & Finance & Accounting Information System (FAIS) - a next-generation financial platform redefining how GHN records, controls, and analyzes all financial transactions and cash flow across the organization from scratch, you will:
Shape and deliver the quality strategy for GHN's core financial and accounting platform, integrating all operational systems with automated layers of payment processing, accounting logic, and financial management flows.
Translate strategic business and user insights into a practical testing roadmap, automating end-to-end financial workflows covering COD management, revenue and cost recognition, supplier payment processing, bank integrations and reconciliations.
Design and embed next-generation testing and monitoring systems for real-time financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and capital control - ensuring GHN's finance foundation is scalable, transparent and audit-ready.
Partner closely with product, engineering, finance, operations and data teams to define requirements, shape system design, execute test plans, and validate outcomes - ensuring the platform aligns with business goals, user needs and regulatory standards.
Drive a mindset of continuous quality improvement: define quality metrics (e.g., automation coverage, bug leakage), monitor quality health, lead root-cause resolution, and elevate QE practices across the FAIS team.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead the quality strategy, standards and practices for the Payment & FAIS platform from the ground up, ensuring the architecture, implementation and operations meet the highest standards of reliability, security, performance and compliance.
Partner closely with product, engineering, finance and operations teams to drive test planning, automation and continuous improvement of the end-to-end financial transaction flow - from order capture, payment processing, cash-flow recording, reconciliation, to financial closing and reporting.
Design, implement and maintain a robust automation framework, including integration tests, API tests, end-to-end workflows and scenario coverage for all major business flows (payments, collections, refunds, cross-system integrations).
Establish and maintain performance, stress and scalability testing practices to ensure the FAIS platform can handle high transaction volumes and rapid growth across the entire company.
Drive the adoption of best practices in software quality assurance, shift-left testing, CI/CD integration, code quality metrics, and test data management; influence engineering decisions from early stages to ensure testability, observability and robustness.
Monitor quality KPIs (defect leakage rate, test coverage, automation ratio, cycle time, mean time to detect/fix defects) and report on quality health to stakeholders, making recommendations for improvement.

4+ years of end-to-end software quality engineering experience, with focused on leading test automation and performance engineering 2+ years (JavaScript, Python)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, leveraging existing metrics, logs to drive decisions.
Demonstrated ownership mindset and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
User-centric mindset and passion for building impactful products.
Familiar with Agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., Jira, Notion, ClickUp)
Familiarity with observability tooling (Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or equivalent) and the ability to triage incidents affecting payment availability.
Experience in payments, fintech, banking, reconciliation is a plus.
