The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term business relationships with key customers and strategic partners in the garment manufacturing industry. This role leads the sales and merchandising team to drive revenue growth, close commercial deals, and deliver customer-centric solutions that align with both customer needs and company capabilities. The role ensures seamless coordination between product development, production, and supply chain to achieve high-quality delivery, profitability, and customer satisfaction
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
1. Client &
Business Development:
• Championing a customer-centric approach, ensuring customer experience and satisfaction are prioritized throughout the sales and production lifecycle.
• Build, nurture, and enhance long-term relationships with key customers and buying offices through effective communication, trust building, and value creation.
• Actively drives business growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding business with existing customers, and converting leads into closed deals.
• Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, terms, and volume commitments to secure win-win outcomes and maximize profitability.
• Provide proactive updates to customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, risks, and resolution plans.
• Plan, organize, and professionally host customer visits, business reviews, and onsite production tours.
2. Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, mentor, and manages the sales & merchandising team to ensure strong collaboration, communication, and execution discipline.
• Allocate workloads, define priorities, and monitor progress to meet customer timelines and business targets.
• Develop the team's competencies in product development, cost engineering, negotiation strategies, and technical garment knowledge.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide actionable feedback to promote continuous improvement and professional growth.
3. Sales & Merchandising Execution:
• Oversee the full product lifecycle-from concept, sampling, and costing to bulk production and delivery.
• Collaborate closely with design, technical, and production teams to translate customer requirements into viable product and production plans.
• Ensure accurate interpretation and execution of customer specifications, quality requirements, and compliance standards.
• Analyze market insights, customer feedback, and competitor landscape to build compelling product offerings and strengthen positioning.
• Prepare sales performance reports, commercial analysis, and business forecasts for senior leadership.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth transition between development and production phases.
• Work tightly with planning, quality control, sourcing, and logistics teams to maintain workflow efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery.
• Proactively address operational bottlenecks, quality concerns, and delivery risks with solution-driven actions.
5. Financial & Commercial Management:
• Develop and manage sales budgets, revenue targets, and profitability goals.
• Analyze product cost breakdown, margin structure, and pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
• Monitor financial and operational performance of key accounts and projects, providing insights and improvement recommendations.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.
