Job Purpose
The Senior Site Engineer is primarily responsible for construction activities across multiple project sites. This role ensures effective coordination with consultants and contractors, timely delivery, compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements, and provides continuous reporting and risk identification to the
Project Manager.
Responsibilities
• Be in charge of multiple project sites as assigned by the Project Manager.
• Monitor and control the overall construction progress, schedule, quality, scope, and HSE compliance of each contract package.
• Ensure and monitor Construction Management and Supervision Consultant (CMCS) and contractors properly implement and comply with the integrated multi-disciplinary designs (CSA, MEPF, infrastructure, landscape, fire protection, LEED).
• Coordinate daily with the CMCS, main contractor, MV contractor, and other subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Review and provide recommendations to the Project Manager on shop drawings, method statements, material proposals, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Review site logistics, mobilization plans, and traffic control measures in collaboration with CMCS and contractors.
• Oversee and verify the coordination efforts of all contractors, led by CMCS, to ensure timely and seamless inter-package handovers.
• Monitor and control scope of works of contractors to comply with scope provided in tender and design stage, including adjustment, if any.
• Ensure strict enforcement of contract conditions, technical standards, safety regulations, quality control procedures, and LEED requirements.
• Provide early notice and updates to the Project Manager regarding any potential risks, delays, or issues affecting project delivery.
• Ensure completeness and timely submission of as-built documents for authorities' certifications.
• Review and verify daily, weekly, and monthly reports submitted by CMCS and contractors.
• Manage and verify progress payment milestones from contractors and CMCS before recommendation to the Project Manager.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and periodical reports to internal company management and relevant state authorities.
• Manage post-processes for construction close-out, including defect identification by CMCS/FM/PM and rectification by the Contractors.
• Contribute to and document a record of lessons learned during and after construction completion.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager.
