Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Lead the strategic development process for assigned clients and new business pitches, from initial research and insight generation to final strategic recommendations.
Insight Generation: Dive deep into consumer behavior, cultural trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to uncover compelling and unique insights that unlock creative opportunities.
Brief Development: Craft clear, concise, and inspiring creative briefs that effectively translate strategic imperatives into direction for the creative teams.
Client Collaboration & Presentation: Confidently present strategic thinking, research findings, and creative briefs to clients and internal teams, articulating complex ideas with clarity and persuasion.
Research & Analysis: Oversee and conduct various forms of qualitative and quantitative research, including designing research methodologies, analyzing data, and extracting actionable findings.
Trend Spotting & Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving consumer behaviors, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of learning within the agency.
Collaboration: Work seamlessly with account management, creative, media, and other internal teams to ensure strategic alignment and foster integrated solutions.
Mentorship (for Junior Manager aspect): Potentially guide and mentor junior members of the planning team, providing support and fostering their growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
Senior Strategic Planner: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a strategic planning role within an advertising agency or related marketing field.
Junior Strategic Planning Manager: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in strategic planning, with demonstrated potential or initial experience in leading projects or guiding junior team members.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective brand and communication strategies that have driven client business results.
Analytical & Critical Thinking: Exceptional ability to analyze complex information, identify patterns, and synthesize diverse inputs into a coherent strategic narrative.
Insightful & Curious: A natural curiosity about people, culture, and brands, with a knack for uncovering non-obvious insights.
Communication Prowess: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, with the ability to articulate and present ideas compellingly.
Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills, comfortable presenting to senior clients and large groups.
Research Expertise: Proficient in a range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and tools.
Creative Acumen: Ability to understand and inspire creative teams, bridging the gap between strategy and creative execution.
Collaborative Spirit: A strong team player who can build relationships and work effectively across different disciplines.
Resilience & Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Psychology, Sociology, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
