Position Overview
The Planner, Social Outreach is a strategic and analytical planning role within the Social Commerce Pod of BCM's Integrated Media & Commerce Department. This role is responsible for architecting macro social outreach strategies, designing creator-led frameworks and orchestrating full-funnel social commerce campaigns that drive measurable demand generation and business growth for clients.
Unlike the Executive role which focuses heavily on day-to-day execution and operational coordination , the Planner is the strategic mastermind who translates complex client briefs into high-performing creator portfolios, optimizes budget allocation across platform and derives high-level business implications from performance data.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Social Outreach & Portfolio Architecture
Framework Design: Develop comprehensive, data-driven social outreach strategies and frameworks aligned with the brand's overarching marketing funnel (Awareness to Conversion).
Portfolio Optimization: Architect sophisticated creator mix recommendations, balancing Tier 1/2/3 Macro-Influencers, KOLs, KOCs, and communities based on advanced metrics (e.g., audience demographics, historical ROI, platform algorithm strengths, and commerce potential).
Platform Forecasting: Anticipate social commerce trends and platform shifts (TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada) to proactively pitch innovative outreach solutions to clients.
2. Social Commerce Integration & ROI Drive
Funnel Mapping: Design social activations specifically engineered to solve commerce bottlenecks (e.g., maximizing livestream traffic, driving product trials, or scaling affiliate conversions).
Affiliate Ecosystem Planning: Partner closely with Affiliate Planners, MCNs, and Livestream teams to build robust, scalable affiliate and creator-commerce mechanics.
Commercial Pitching: Lead the social outreach component in pitch proposals for mega campaigns, product launches and always-on activities.
3. Strategic Briefing & Content Direction
Macro Briefing: Translate complex brand and performance strategies into high-level creative briefs and direction for creators, ensuring commercial hooks are seamlessly embedded without losing creator authenticity.
Cross-Team Alignment: Collaborate with Creative and Strategy heads to define winning content angles, storytelling guidelines and platform format innovations.
4. High-Level Internal & Client Synergy
Strategic Sync: Act as the primary strategic touchpoint for internal teams (Client Growth, Strategy, Performance, Ecommerce) to ensure social outreach is perfectly synced with paid media amplification, voucher rollouts and store link readiness.
Governance: Oversee the strategic direction of the project, leaving the tactical execution and daily vendor management to the Executive team.
5. Data Analytics & Business Implications
Business Insights: Synthesize raw campaign data from Performance and Ecommerce teams into client-friendly business implications and actionable growth recommendations (not just reporting impressions/views).
Predictive Learning: Establish standard benchmarks and "what worked/what didn't" playbooks to constantly elevate the team's planning efficiency.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of proven experience in digital campaign planning, influencer strategy, social media planning, or social commerce within an agency/MCN environment.
Core Skills: Strong strategic planning, portfolio management and data synthesis capabilities.
Deep understanding of social commerce platforms (TikTok Shop, Shopee, Lazada) and full-funnel marketing metrics.
Excellent client presentation and storytelling skills (translating data into business value).
