What you'll be doing:

• Collaborating with Agile teams to build and enhance our cutting-edge, market-leading life and pensions products.
• Designing and developing customer-facing web applications using ASP.NET Core and Umbraco CMS.
• Building responsive, accessible and maintainable user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related client-side technologies.
• Integrating frontend applications with internal and external REST-based services.
• Working with authentication, identity management and security solutions including Azure AD, SAML and MFA.
• Designing, developing and testing our software as well as post-release maintenance.
• Working with colleagues in the UK, India, Sweden, and Vietnam.
• Learning, teaching, and executing - together with your team.

Skills Required

Technical Skills - Must Haves

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with significant experience delivering frontend-focused web applications.
• Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, jQuery, SASS (SCSS), responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong experience with front-end UI libraries, client-side scripting and AJAX-based applications.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles including SOLID, clean code.
• Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC and legacy .NET framework.
• Solid understanding of SOAP & RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML or MFA.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Entity Framework and LINQ.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests with good coverage.
  

Technical Skills - Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Umbraco CMS would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of React and related modern frontend tooling.
• Understanding WCAG accessibility guidelines.
• Experience building dashboards and data visualizations using libraries such as [protected info]
• Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ, MassTransit).
• Experience with real-time web applications and background job processing frameworks.
• Experience with cloud-native services and observability tools on AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Proactive in proposing solutions and collaborating with key stakeholders in and outside of the team.
• Positive attitude to working together and delivering as a team.
• Able to guide and mentor more junior team members.
• Able to work within an international development team.
• A good command of spoken and written English which is used to communicate between the teams in various countries.
