Sr/Mid Machine Learning Engineer Python, Java, MLops

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer (MLE) to join our growing Big Data & AI team. At MoMo, we are making Machine Learning the core component to almost every part of the product - search and discovery, marketing engine, promotion targeting, financial services, risk and fraud detection. As an MLE, you will have a unique opportunity to make high impacts by building the AI/ML systems into these products for millions of users.

What you will do

• Working with data scientists to build Machine Learning systems using your engineering skills.
• Designing and building data pipelines to retrieve and transform data, compute features.
• Owning and enhancing the ML platform that aids data scientists to explore and contribute features, build models and conduct A/B tests.
• Building services that connect with other backend or ML services to serve the model output to MoMo end users.
• Building a framework for monitoring ML systems.

In many cases, you can build an ML application from end to end.

• At least 2 years of industry experience in software engineering/machine learning.
• Good engineering skills. You have experience in building ML systems. The stack we use is, (you don't have to know them all, we welcome the candidates to learn on the job!)
  • Languages: Python, Scala, Java/Kotlin
  • Framework: Bazel, Dagger, Vertx
  • Infrastructure: GCP, AWS, K8s, BigQuery, Spark, Airflow, etc
• Having a basic understanding of Machine Learning models and their applications. This will help you communicate with data scientists and other MLEs effectively. If you are an expert in Machine Learning and interested in a full-stack position, we are excited to talk to you as well.
