Strategic Supply Chain Manager (Chinese Speaking)

ROLE DESCRIPTION: The mandate will be responsible for building and leading the overall warehousing and logistics operations in Vietnam. The scope covers team management, transportation cost and SLA optimization, international logistics coordination, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory control, and multi-site warehouse operations.
This is a senior management position reporting directly to the CEO and acting as a key link between Manufacturing, Commercial, and Finance. The role is suitable for someone with strong systems thinking, hands-on execution capability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Logistics Team Management & Cost Optimization:
Build and manage the logistics team in Vietnam; establish working processes and KPI frameworks.
Manage overall domestic logistics costs, including first-mile, line-haul, last-mile, and warehousing costs; develop cost analysis models and provide regular reporting.
Continuously identify cost-saving opportunities through benchmarking, negotiation, route optimization, carrier replacement, and improvement of loading utilization.
Monitor delivery lead times and incident rates by channel and drive achievement of agreed SLA standards.
2. International Logistics Coordination:
Work closely with the international logistics team on ocean freight planning and customs declaration to ensure cross-border shipments arrive on schedule and clear customs smoothly.
Monitor inventory in transit and forecast inbound shipment timing to ensure local warehouses are prepared for receiving.
Manage exceptions such as vessel delays and customs inspections, and develop contingency plans to minimize disruption to sales.
3. S&OP & Production Order Management
Develop rolling Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) based on actual sales, inventory levels, and sales forecasts in the Vietnam market.
Place production orders with factories, clearly specifying delivery timelines, quantities, and product specifications.
Track the full production process, identify capacity bottlenecks and potential delays, provide early warnings, and coordinate corrective actions.
Balance product availability with lean inventory levels and continuously optimize inventory days / inventory turnover.
4. Distribution Warehouse & On-site Operations
Oversee the daily operations of warehouses in Vietnam, initially starting with the Ho Chi Minh City warehouse.
Develop warehouse SOPs covering inbound quality inspection, put-away, picking, packing, outbound processing, stocktaking, and returns handling.
For e-commerce operations, improve packing efficiency, control consumable material usage, and reduce incorrect or incomplete shipments for platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
Manage outsourced warehouse manpower and ensure compliance with operational standards.
Drive warehouse digitalization and systemization, including WMS implementation, barcode management, and inventory accuracy of at least 99.5%.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work regularly with Product, Sales, and Finance teams to align inventory strategy, sales targets, and working capital requirements.
Provide Finance with accurate logistics cost forecasts, accruals, and actual cost data.
REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, including team management experience.
Experience managing warehousing and logistics operations and working with transportation providers and/or freight forwarders.
Strong understanding of international logistics processes, including ocean freight, customs procedures, and customs clearance.
Experience in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and direct coordination with manufacturing plants.
Strong cost analysis, negotiation, and data-driven decision-making skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with WMS systems is preferred.
Preferred
Experience in e-commerce operations, particularly Shopee, Lazada, and/or TikTok Shop.
Experience coordinating cross-border supply chains involving China.
Good Mandarin Chinese communication skills.
