Supply Chain Analyst (Control Tower Executive)

Purpose of the position
This position is responsible for supporting and executing daily logistics operations. This role ensures accurate shipment handling, proactive issue resolution, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The position also contributes to performance tracking, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Support
• Execute daily shipment bookings and ensure timely updates in logistics systems.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively address exceptions or delays.
• Manage carrier allocation and confirm space availability based on forecasts.
• Coordinate spot quote requests and ensure timely responses to customer needs.
• Track and manage Demurrage & Detention (DnD) exposure and escalate risks.
• Support resolution of operational disputes, including service failures and billing issues.
• Handle damage claims at destination by communicating with carriers and ensuring claim amounts compensated as per customer requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination
• Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to align shipment execution.
• Coordinate forecast allocation with customers and carriers to ensure capacity planning.
• Share pre-shipment status with destination offices and ensure smooth handover to operations.
• Participate in customer calls and internal meetings to support alignment and issue resolution.
Data & Reporting
• Maintain accurate shipment data and documentation in control tower systems.
• Support freight audit completeness by validating charges and ensuring documentation accuracy.
• Prepare and update operational trackers, dashboards, and customer reports.
• Assist in analyzing performance data and identifying trends or gaps.
Process & Compliances
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, routing guides, and customer-specific requirements.
• Monitor and report on risk factors such as weather delays or port disruptions.
• Ensure documentation is uploaded and maintained according to global standards.
• Support adherence to customer KPIs and internal audit requirements.
Specific Accountabilities
• Act as a key operational contact for assigned carriers, supporting communication, issue resolution, and service coordination.
• Monitor carrier performance and provide input for reviews to support continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with carrier to support freight audit completeness, ensuring documentation and charge accuracy.
• Track and manage Demurrage & Detention (DnD) exposure, escalating risks and supporting cost control efforts.
• Consolidate and share forecast allocation data with carriers and internal teams to support space planning.
• Support resolution of operational disputes, including service delays, billing discrepancies, and exception handling.
• Participate in pilot trade lane setups, ensuring operational readiness and capturing feedback for improvement.
• Maintain and update issue trackers to ensure visibility and timely closure of open items.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legal regulations, and destination-specific SOPs.
• Validate customer quotations and routing guides for accuracy and alignment with service agreements.
• Monitor customer credit check compliance and escalate any discrepancies.
• Ensure documentation is uploaded and maintained according to global standards.
• Fulfill customer-specific reporting requirements and support KPI tracking.
• Follow up on and escalate resolution of formal claims and informal complaints to ensure timely closure.
