Position Summary
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) leads global, cross‐functional teams through the New Product Development (NPD) process, from project approval through production transfer.
This role partners closely with customers and internal stakeholders, drives project‐level decision‐making, mentors team members, and ensures successful execution across cost, quality, and schedule. The TPM thrives in a fast‐paced, highly technical, global environment and plays a key role in driving Molex and our customers forward.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner closely with Product Managers to ensure Molex technology projects fully support customer finished‐goods deliverables.
• Lead multiple NPD projects simultaneously, including both customer‐specific and general market programs.
• Develop clear internal and external Project Charters defining strategy, scope, financials, and schedules.
• Own project communication and reporting to both management and customers.
• Manage project change control, decision documentation, and governance processes.
• Lead project planning, execution, and closure, including transfer to production ownership.
• Develop and manage macro project schedules; hold functional teams accountable for supporting micro schedules.
• Mentor and guide team members on project management principles, PDP processes, risk management, issue resolution, and decision‐making.
• Proactively identify, document, and execute risk mitigation actions related to cost, quality, and schedule.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure alignment with Molex expectations on timing, cost, and quality.
