Trade Compliance Specialist

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Support EPE (Export Processing Enterprise) covering both Imports & Exports.

• Responsible for preparation and submission of Customs entry documentation and preparation and submission of export documentation in and out of the EPE.

• Ensure accurate documentation is created and data is transmitted timely to appropriate governmental agencies for all Vietnamese import/export activities.

• Determine appropriate Harmonized Tariff numbers on import and export shipments.

• Support import/export compliance processes by understanding and applying relevant Vietnamese and US international laws and regulations.

• Support recordkeeping and retention of import/export control related documents such as product classification, valuation etc.

• Adhere to processes established by Global Trade Compliance Department.

• Oversee application for tariff concessions such as Free Trade Agreements

• Support inquiries and issues involving customs and other Vietnamese government agencies

• Conduct business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for governmental and legal regulations and environmental issues.

• Performs audits on entry documentation against foreign commercial invoice and purchase orders to audit proper valuation, classification, country origin etc.

• Prepare monthly and special request reports as required.

• Perform other duties as required.
