CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
The Survey Officer will be responsible for activities related to physical and online market, including conceptualizing, designing, developing methodology, analysing data, reporting, and follow-up actions. This position will work closely with Programme Officers and Project Officers of related projects and will report to Senior Programme Officers/ Office Director.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
• Develop plans/protocols, budgets, and questions for surveys;
• Collect and report survey data in an organized manner;
• Undertake other tasks relevant to surveys;
• Regularly report on progress of surveys to Senior Programme Officers, and Office Director;
• Prepare Back to Office reports following field work and surveys;
• Undertake analysis of survey data;
• Design, plan and carry out physical and online market surveys to acquire information about illegal wildlife trade;
• Draft and contribute to technical reports of survey data;
• Collaborate closely with Programme Officers and Project Officers of related projects and activities;
Yêu cầu
• Problem solver with critical thinking skills;
• Familiarity with and an interest in conducting surveys;
• Experience with the collection and collation of data and developing survey methodologies;
• Ability to identify wildlife from parts and products;
• An eye for detail and a keen interest and ability to recognize and uncover connections between data are a must;
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team as well as independently, with respect for and sensitivity to multi-cultural approaches
• Native Vietnamese speaker with fluency in verbal and written English;
• Well-organized with time management skills;
• Independent thinker that shows initiative in developing innovative approaches
• Ability to analyse large data sets;
• Adept at Excel;
