Create the commercial strategy for all products: develop the price, promotion, placement, point of sale and product assortment strategy by channel (5Ps) - 40% time
• Brief sales team on commercial sales strategies
• Maintain the annual sales and marketing activity calendar
• For all products define the picture of success based around the 5Ps and brief sales team
• Monitor, review, and report Sales KPIs to identify potential 5P issues and engage in constructive discussions with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply to create new 5P solutions and commercial solutions
• Responsible for setting the promotional strategy that maximises sales and margin and for evaluating trade promotional effectiveness (ROI)
• Track competitor activity and maintain competitor insights to use when formulating 5P strategy
• Support the preparation of the annual business plan by defining the commercial and channel objectives and strategies (sales, distribution, promotional investment)
Develop the Trade Selling materials: to equip the sales team to be successful in selling MSI products - 40% time
• Work with agencies to design effective selling materials (create brand positioning, visual iconography)
• Lead and prepare the key information pack for launches (product positioning, pricing, promotion, marketing communication, sales selling material, training materials, media plan etc.)
• Develop merchandising solutions to create strong visibility in pharmacy, clinics, grocery
• Train teams to sell effectively by designing and delivering highly motivational training
• Create compelling content for sales/detailing materials for the sales team to use when selling/detailing products to Health Care Professionals (working closely with clinical, supply teams to ensure accurate information)
Develop a range of Sexual Reproductive Health (and other products) - 20% time
• Lead the signoff and approval of the product P&Ls for approval to launch (the financial business case and product marketing & Trade Marketing launch plans)
• Work with regulatory specialist and supply team to identify product requirements and local regulations to create successful products for launch and to ensure products meet MSI's high quality standards and performance criteria.
• Run market assessments (product safaris) to identify potential products to launch developing the 5P and launch strategy
Deliver any other initiatives as defined by line manager.

* Formal Education/qualification
- No formal educational requirement is required as qualification through experience is sufficient for the role.
- But Bachelor&039;s Degree or Equivalent in: Business & Marketing; Pharmacy would be helpful.
* Key Experiences:
To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following experience:
Essential
• Proven experience in healthcare new brand/ product development & launch (market mapping; client segmentation & targeting, pricing, product packaging thru to detailing, healthcare & client communications)
• Proven experience in developing commercial or sales and marketing plans including the 5Ps
• Good & proven regulatory knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector in Vietnam
• Experienced in working with marketing agencies and suppliers in product development and marketing, detailing and trade marketing healthcare communications
• Extensive experience working in the pharmaceutical sectors with technical knowledge in healthcare products
Preferred
• Experience in sexual reproductive health and related sectors is highly preferred
• Has worked in sales so understands challenges of front line selling
• Has managed a brand P&L

• Highly skilled in trade marketing:
Channels: demonstrates deep knowledge and understanding of the key success factors that are important to win in each channel
Price: can deconstruct costs and use pricing tools to identify the optimum price to maximise margins and be competitive on the marketplace
Point of Buying communication (Visibility at the outlet): know how to build communication materials that are relevant for different channels in gaining product visibility in the outlet
Placement: understand where products need to be placed to maximise visibility
Promotion: deep knowledge of how different promotion mechanics work and get executed cost effectively; able to calculate accurate costs and paybacks
Product: can understand technical elements that impact product positioning and identify which products should be sold in which trade channels. Know how to set appropriate distribution targets.
• Skilled in Product Marketing (product development & communication):
Consumer communication: able to understand how to generate and use client insights that support product positioning and communication plans (ie. How to communicate condoms to young people; how to communicate functional and emotional benefits of Oral Contraceptive Pills to women)
Leads development and execution of consumer programs demonstrating a solid understanding of brand strategies and building synergies with other brand communication
Health professional Product detailing: able to build materials and product training that enable sales teams to successfully present and explain MSI products to all health care providers, including key opinion leaders
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal skills in English in creating designs briefs for agencies; preparing monthly reports to senior management. Can develop and present highly impactful powerpoint presentations to different groups. Tailoring the level of detail for the different groups
• Good strategic thinking and ability to distil complex data down into clear, cohesive product trade marketing plans that are client focused and know how to produce robust sales and marketing plans that are articulate and relate to a realistic P&L
• Extremely high planning and organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects to ensure that information is always available, easy to find, workplans are prioritised to the most important pieces of work are delivered on time.
• A commercial mind-set, understanding the levers for profitability for success within the marketplace. Understand P&L's to understand the financial impact of decision making. Can read a P&L and understand risks and opportunities (margin mix; how price impacts bottom line; marketing investment levels).
• Highly developed interpersonal, influencing & networking skills. To achieve results requires strong relationships across supply, finance, operations as MSI operates very much in a "matrix" way without direct reporting.
