Overview and Objective of the Position
The Student Recruitment Manager plays a significant role in driving sales growth and achieving student recruitment targets in Vietnam for Deakin College, working closely with colleagues at Navitas and Deakin University across Vietnam. This position will be responsible for on-the-ground sales and recruitment activities including, but not limited to, agent training, lead generation events, student conversion and solving specific student, parent or agent queries. This role requires the ability to support a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across Vietnam to drive long-term growth for Deakin College.
Key Relationships
- Navitas and Deakin University: Provide insight and support to develop and execute the student recruitment strategy for Deakin College. Working with Regional Manager - Indochina for operational requirements
- Students / Parents: Provides information to potential students & parents (at fairs/ exhibitions/information sessions/phone enquiries etc)
- Agency Staff: Provides training to counsellors on the value proposition, product information and continually engage in ongoing relationships and nurturing of student applications
- Director, Marketing & Admissions: Provides day-to-day support to ensure the implementation of the Deakin College Vietnam recruitment plan. Provides operational guidance for compliance, coordination of activities/events and strategic market advice as required. Will provide regular updates, advice and support in driving agent performance
Principal Accountabilities
- Operationalize Vietnam recruitment plans in collaboration with Navitas and Deakin University
- Ensure complete and accurate reporting of all activities on the CRM
- Handle student enquiries and manage leads
- Deliver market insight and accurate sales forecasts through regular and detailed reports
- Coordinate student contact to confirm the outcome of the visa interview
- Execute the pre-departure process with channel partners and students
- Assist with the admissions process as required
- Participate in sales activities including, but not limited to, training, events, student conversion, information sessions and managing enquiries/agent requests

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
** Essential
- Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of recruitment activities both locally and internationally
- An eye for developing new recruitment initiatives
- Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking
- Proven ability as a team player
- Ability to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes
- High-level numeric literacy and critical thinking
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven track record of strong sales performance
- Ability to meet targets within defined timelines among changing priorities
- High level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills required in business-level English, both written and spoken
** Desirable
- Experience of working effectively within a matrix structure to ensure competing demands are met
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Proven ability to monitor and evaluate the success of activities and report appropriately
- Proven ability to work successfully with education agents
- Success in a sales role within the Higher Education sector
- Studied abroad, ideally in Australia
