Primary Teaching Assistant will work with upper primary students (Year 6), who has a high level of English to support with essay writing and reading novels.
- 01 SEN Teaching Assistant will work in the SEN department and support students with educational needs across the whole school. He/she will support the EAL department by offering small group English reading sessions in Primary (include Vietnamese students, Korean students.....). Thus speaking Korean is a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Be aware, in advance of the teacher's weekly planning.
• Organise - and have responsibility for - two Curriculum Option Lessons each term.
• Collect notices, reply slips etc. Collate and send to office when required.
• Supervise and teach individual, pairs or groups of children as required by the class teacher or
line manager.
• Supervise students in communal areas to ensure a high standard of behaviour is maintained.
• Support students during lessons as directed by the class teacher.
• Assist the teacher in displaying and removing students' work.
• Be available to provide translation between students, parents and teaching staff.
• To undertake any other reasonable task as instructed by the Senior TA or any line managers.
• Assist in lesson preparation.
• Assist with the supervision of snack times and carry out allocated playground, lunchtime and after-school duties as agreed.
• Provide feedback to the teacher regarding the performance of students the TA has been assigned to work with during a lesson.
• Other tasks assigned by Line Manager.
• Contribute to the planning of lessons.
• Reward and sanction children in accordance with the school's 'Positive Behaviour' policy to ensure the school's high standards of behaviour and discipline are maintained.
Education:
• Being creative, energetic and enthusiastic with both of primary & secondary students
• Speaking Korean is a plus for SEN Teaching Assistant
• BA of Education or BA of English and teaching certificate
Experience:
• Experience translating Korean and Vietnamese to English is a plus.
• Experience of working in
international school is a plus
• Work experience in an education setting is needed.
